Dear readers, Dear friends,
The Villa is thouroughly refurbished and refreshed, partly inspired by Ms. M's visit to Alsace. There a dearest wish was fullfilled: she saw the worldfamous Isenheimer Altar at Colmar. The acquaintance was mutually pleasurable: since then the music making angels are staying in the Music Room, a female saint in the Meditation Room and some Apostles are exploring our Library. A hoard of Asacian singing loafs of bread found their stage in the Kitchen. We wish all our guests an inspiring stay at the Villa and you are welcomed to get to know them better.

Alterations

A while ago the Villa was thoroughly renovated to make it suited for smartphones. We are very satisfied with it but we would like to hear your opinion. If you have any remarks please send them to the Villa. Also the Veranda and the Sun Room needed a complete make over. The first was rebuilt by a group of Alsatian craftsmen who turned it into a Veranda Fleuri. For the Sun Room we chose a modern design inspired by that of the Utrecht Central Station...

Performances

Ms M. took part in the performance of the Werkgroep Eigen Werk at King's Day in Artishock, Soest. Again it was a nostalgic happening with a lot of old fans. Even the mayor was present. The next show in Artishock is scheduled for December. Do you want to know more about the WEW? Click here.

November last year the Villa contributed again to the Cultural Festival Voordorps Verbeelding (Voordorps Imagination). The Villa's show was 'Trees', with poetry and songs. It was well received by some 50 people. See for the end of the show here. It was a reprise of the program the Villa made with sculptress Hannneke de Munck

Freshen up at the Villa!

Because of the drought several water- and freshen up-points were realised at the Villa. A sprinkler installation was intstalled at the Loo, a new Pump was built in the Back Yard and a merman is swimming in the Bathroom. You can see a refreshing Bird Exhibition at the Pond, which, by the way, is frozen over, and in the shady Living Room you can quench your visual thirst at the flowers of the Keukenhof (Kitchen Garden). Finally a Water Rail by the Utrecht artist Charles Donker was released in the Art Collection.

The Villa wishes you lovely summer days and, like Ms. M's old father always says: keep your head cool and your feet warm!
